Chicago Welcomes Near North-ATSU SOMA Medical Students

Chicago's First Community Health Center Medical Program

Chicagoans joined Near North Health Service Corporation (Near North) and A.T. Still Univeristy (ATSU) in cutting the ceremonial red ribbon on August 28th, 2015 to officially launch the first federally-qualified community health center medical campus for medical students studying community healthcare. The event was held at the North Kostner site. The new medical student program with ATSU's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA) is supported by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). The students will engage in all aspects of medical delivery and health center operations along side Near North providers. The students are led by Munawar Sultana MD, Regional Director of Medical Education. Check out our A.T. Still Ceremony page to see all the event photos.
