| Near North Health Service Corporation was recently featured on Garrard McClendon Live (CLTV/Comcast Channel 10). Our Chairman of the Board, Mr. Clarence Burch discussed Near North Health Service Corporation, our history in the community, the services we offer, and promoted our 18th annual Men’s Health Week health event. Since 1992, NNHSC has been leading the way in raising awareness about the importance of preventative health care and healthy lifestyle management among men throughout Chicagoland, especially among those most at-risk in low-income African-American and Hispanic/Latino communities, where poor health outcomes are most prevalent. Last June, NNHSC was able to provide 1,000 men with free medical services; this year our goal is to reach 1,500. | Near North Health Service Corporation was recently featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric . The news report revolved around the results of a recent federal study which revealed a 26% decrease in child abuse in the United States. Experts credit programs such as our Healthy Families Program as contributing factors in this decline. Justin Thomas, our Healthy Families case manager, our client, Antoinette Franklin, and her 3 month old daughter, Amia were all featured in the news report.
